On the 25th the mural has been finalized. Artist Daniele Tozzi together with poet Er Pinto, who created poetry with words chosen by the children, decided to use eco-friendly colors to stress the sustainable imprint of the project. The work is called “Tutti Assieme” by Daniele Tozzi and curated by Mirko Pierri (a.Dna). The work is a calligram that recalls the themes of the Open Heritage project focused on the values of inclusion, cohesion and sustainability. A look to the environment and nature as a symbol and metaphor for those who face in a positive way the daily issues related to life in the metropolis. The birds depicted are of different species, but all are linked by a thread to the same destiny: to fly in order to move forward toward a better future. A lesson first and foremost for the children and young people who attend the school and thus today’s and tomorrow’s citizens of the neighborhood. The birds are constructed through the words of a poem by Er Pinto, a street poet who has been working for years with his street poetry that has become a recognizable brand of contemporary “Roman-ness”.
“Between friends and nature,
On the streets in freedom,
we all fly together
toward happiness.”
“Tra gli amici e la natura,
per le strade in libertà,
si vola tutti assieme
verso la felicità”

A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.
