Final National Workshop of Rome CHL
Informazioni su questo processo
We are approaching to the end of the OpenHeritage project! The topic of the final workshop will be "Places of culture as spaces of Innovation for sustainable development"
The National Workshop will focus on the discussion of the potential of urban commons, particularly cultural heritage, as an enabling tool for the sustainable development of territories, not only through the involvement of local communities but also by offering spaces, skills, tools, and ideas to promote innovation aimed at sustainable development and improving the social and economic conditions of inhabitants and users in vulnerable neighborhoods. The cornerstones guiding the project and the development mentioned before are the following: Elinor Ostrom's approach to the study of the commons, civic solidarity, and collaboration, which is referred to in the Italian Constitution at Article 2, the effort to make cities and communities sustainable (SDG11), and the model of heritage communities outlined by the Council of Europe's Faro Convention. The project and its future development will be in line with the strategic goals outlined at both the EU and national levels with special reference to Next Generation EU, the European Union's long-term budget 2021-2027, and the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The National Workshop will be held in Rugantino library, Rugantino street 113, 00169 Rome, on the 8th September, from 3.30PM to 8PM.
