After the first session held in July, the co-design meetings for the Torre Spaccata artwork co-design are back! On Saturday 4 September starting from 5.30 p.m. the second and last co-design session will be held before the unveiling of the public artworks, scheduled for 25 September.
The meeting is organised by the neighbourhood cooperative CooperACTiva, in collaboration with Fusolab 2.0, a.DNA collective and Blackmarket Hall, with the support of the European Horizon 2020 project "OpenHeritage" (GA n. 776766), LUISS, LabGov and Co-Roma.it.
The event will be opened by Mirko Pierri (a.DNA collective) and the artist Daniele Tozzi, who will dialogue with the participants to gather further ideas for the creation of the Torre Spaccata artwork.
The inhabitants will take part in a dialogue with the artists in the central area of the Parco dei Romanisti.
The dialogue will focus on key issues such as participation, sustainability and inclusiveness, core themes that run through all the activities planned as part of the Living Memory Exhibition. At the end of the day, participants will be able to take part in a live painting session.

A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.
